Nicki was confused. It was close to 5:30p.m and Safaree still wasn’t home. She tried calling him on his cell phone earlier but soon realized he left it on the table next to the door. He never left without telling her that he was leaving, let alone go anywhere without his cell phone. She tried to remember if he had anything to do this week, but she couldn’t remember. Her mind was so focused on telling Safaree that she was in love with him that she couldn’t think about anything or anyone else. She had been sitting in her love seat in the living room waiting for him to come home for almost 4 hours. She was getting a little sleepy and decided that maybe if she took a nap, when she woke up he would be home.

Safaree was downstairs in the basement trying to finish working on the Entertainment system him and Nicki had bought a couple months back. She had been begging him to put it together since she didn’t want to hire someone to come do it for her. He hated putting things together mechanically and hated reading directions, which made everything, take longer and made it a lot harder. The only thing he had to do was mount the Screen, connect the speakers, hook up the projector and make sure the seats were in good shape. When he woke up he was on his way to Nicki’s room and heard her on the phone with Candi. He was going to ask her if she was hungry but he knew she would be on the phone for hours so he left her alone. He went out to the supermarket to re-stock the house and came back home. When he came back he made him a sandwich and headed downstairs to work on the entertainment system.

He turned off the lights and headed up stairs. When he got upstairs he walked into the living room and saw Nicki passed out in her love seat. “Damn she aint even come check on a nigga”, Sb said.  He shook his head and walked upstairs to his room to shower.

Meanwhile, Nicki woke up, looked around and still saw no SB. “Where the hell could his ass be”. She got up, went into the kitchen, grabbed water and went into her room. Because the house was so big, she didn’t hear SB taking a shower in his room and didn’t bother to check because she thought he wasn’t home still. She grabbed her phone and decided to call Lauren and tell her the good news since she didn’t answer earlier.

Lauren: Hey Nick Nac

Nicki: Hey babe! Guess what I have good news!

Lauren: What? What is it?

Nicki: Im in love with Safaree!

Lauren: What????

Nicki: I know! Im gonna tell him as soon as he gets home.

Safaree got out of the shower and wrapped the towel around his waist. and looked around for his phone. He remembered he left it by the door and wet to retrieve it. He looked over at the love seat and saw that Nicki had gotten up.

Lauren: No..Wait Nicki theres something I have to tell you I ……….

Just then Lauren was cut off. “Nicki!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Safaree screamed.

Nicki: Lauren ima have to call you back My MAN is Home!! Love you bye.

With that she hung up went to the top of the steps.

“Yes faree” She looked at the bottom of the steps and saw that he only had a towel and became very confused.

“I made reservations for us to go have dinner tonight because I know neither one of us doesn’t feel like cooking so get dressed” Sb said.

“Wait where were you all day? And why didn’t you take your phone? And why do you only have a towel on if you just came in the house?” Nicki was talking a mile a minute.

“You couldn’t have been in the house because I checked everywhere.” Nicki was confused as shit.

“You couldn’t have checked everywhere, because I was in the basement Nic” SB was giggling, because he knows she probably was flipping out thinking that he left without letting her know.

“The BASEMENT! What the fuck. Why didn’t I think of that?”

Sb just shook his head and started heading up the stairs into his room. “I don’t know Nicki but get dressed please we have to go, I’m starving”

“But wait Faree I have to tell you something”

“Good because I have to tell you something to, so go get dressed and we’ll talk at dinner. PLEASE” Sb went into his room and closed the door. Nicki had never been so excited to tell someone something in her life.

 She showered and got dressed within 1 hour and 30 min. She kept everything light with a pantsuit, some black Giuseppe heels and her natural hair straight. She walked down stairs and didn’t see Safaree. “ This nigga rushing me and he aint even ready”. SB came in the house and saw Nicki fixing her jacket. “Damn” he mumbled. “Uh Uhm you ready Nicki?” Sb asked.

I want to be there for you all the time like a man would for his woman. I need you in my life as mine. I would treat you like no man has ever treated you. My love for you is deep and it’s taking over everything in me. I don’t think I’ll be able to handle seeing you with another man other than me. I love you with all my heart and that will never change weather you feel the same or not.”

By the end of Safaree’s speech Nicki’s eyes were filled with tears. He pulled Nicki up and sat her on his lap. He wiped her tears and kissed her on her cheek. “Don’t cry Nic, I didn’t mean to upset you I was just trying to tell you how I was feeling.”

Nicki looked up into SB’s eyes and grabbed the sides of his face. She gave him a nice soft kiss and pulled back. SB didn’t know what was going through her head. He was getting ready to ask her if she was ok until she spoke.

“You know Safaree, when I was with drake, the only person I thought about was you. Safaree couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Was she actually telling him that she was I love with him? He was in awe. The woman that he loved for so many years was finally admitting she loved him.

He kissed her and grabbed her hand.

“Lets get out of here.” Sb said, leaving the money on the table and walking out the valet.

When they pulled up to the house SB walked around to Nicki’s side of the car and helped her out. When they got into the house Nicki turned around to face SB.

“I don’t want anything to happen between us. I can’t take not having you in my life at all. What happens if we don’t work out faree, then what?”

“Listen to me, you will not have to worry about me NOT being in your life, I will never leave you, relationship or not. As for us not working out we will work, and any problems that we have we will keep between us and work them out together. I’m not losing you and you’re not going to lose me. She nodded her head yes. “Is there anything you want to say?”

She moved closer to him and placed her hands on his chest. He wrapped his arms around her waist and looked down at her. “Yes. There is something that I want you to do.” She said.
